About Stratford Pharmacy
Established in 2001, Stratford Pharmacy was the first licensed online pharmacy in the United Kingdom dealing solely with the private prescription marketplace. Since then, the company has diversified its product offerings and is now one of the leading suppliers of mail-order pharmaceutical products in the country.
Stratford Pharmacy was born out of the frustration of a Warwickshire-based GP whose patients were being restricted access to effective medication on the NHS due to budgetary constraints. Many of his patients found themselves forced to obtain their treatment on private prescription, but were then often prevented by the high cost of the drugs.

Our company aimed to resolve this situation by offering quality prescription medicines at the lowest possible prices. In our first year of trading alone, we helped a large number of patients suffering from multiple sclerosis by providing their medication at a fraction of its normal price. Our efforts to drive down the price of certain drugs was even recognised in debate in Parliament.
The Government has made some attempt to broaden availability but its' success has been limited. Many patient groups are now provided with their medication on the basis of 'cost-effectiveness' trials, whilst performance is monitored. These schemes will spread as the number of new - but high-cost - medicines increases. As the funding capacity of the NHS is further reduced, so these schemes will become subject to ever more restrictive criteria for determining patient eligibility.
Despite entering into new markets, Stratford Pharmacy maintains its original ethos of improving patient access to essential medications. All the drugs and medication we supply are genuine UK-approved products sourced from the principal national wholesalers, or directly from the respective pharmaceutical companies.

Stratford Pharmacy Ltd is based in specialist facilities just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, sharing the building with the town's principal G.P. practice. We are both regulated and subject to inspection by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (registration number, 1092556). The Company's Board of Directors include two General Practitioners.

Should you have any cause to complain about any aspect of the service you have received from Stratford Pharmacy, please write to us (either by letter or email) and mark it for the attention of the Pharmacy Manager. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may wish to contact the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
